What is CSCS?

CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry.
CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on site. By ensuring the workforce are appropriately qualified the card plays its part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites.
Holding a CSCS card is not a legislative requirement. It is entirely up to the principal contractor or client whether workers are required to hold a card before they are allowed on site. However, most principal contractors and major house builders require construction workers on their sites to hold a valid card.

What is IPAF & PASMA?

If an employee’s role involves carrying out – or potentially carrying out – work involving a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform), an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) License is highly recommended. MEWPS are sometimes referred to as “powered access equipment” and include cherry pickers, scissor lifts and boom lifts.
IPAF is the most recognised governing body when it comes to using Powered Access Equipment, or Mobile Elevating Working Platforms (MEWPs).
PASMA training covers the use of mobile access towers which can also be referred to as mobile scaffold towers. There are a number of different types of PASMA training courses available, and as a PASMA registered and approved training centre we are able to deliver the nationally recognised PASMA training syllabus for competency in mobile towers.

Telu Offices Leeds

Telu the ultimate marketing Company.

Telu Marketing are based in Leeds and are one of the fastest growing marketing agencies around. As you can see from the images their offices are modern and fresh. However when you have a office and all the dividers are glass there is little privacy and little segregation of departments.
We were asked to make graphics for many of the glass windows and many of the walls not only to brand the building but to give separation between departments. Below are the images of the things we did.

Three Bridges in Stockton

Bridges With A Difference

I think it would be safe to say that this was the most difficult job Ark Display Graphics ever undertaken. These bridges are in the main shopping precinct in Stockton upon tees, they have been there for many years on the cladding was beginning to show its age. The idea was to plywood the exterior and then for us to vinyl wrap the bridge.

After the bridges had been clad in what was thought to be outdoor plywood it then had to be painted in an outdoor paint, unfortunately the company that undertook this task did not do their job correctly. After we had wrapped vinyl onto their work it started to fail, and within months it did completely.

A different strategy was needed and we were not going to let the client down, we re-printed all the panels onto an aluminium composite board. We then removed all the rotten wood, replaced it and fitted our panels. The client was delighted.

This was the shopping precinct authority, and they were very understanding and very patient and knew that this was going to be a very difficult procedure, especially as it had to be done out of hours in the middle of winter.
